Courtesy of The Uganda Directorate of Citizenship and Immigration Control, visitors can obtain the desired immigration status online, bypassing the need to visit the Uganda Embassy, and avoiding embarrassment since immigration status is no longer available on arrival at the port of entry.

Points to note

1. An immigration status is required before entry into Uganda and must be presented at the point of entry.
2. Only complete submissions will be accepted. With Bar-Travel, we help you submit the required documents seamlessly.
3. Payment for an immigration status does not guarantee approval if you fail to meet the specified immigration status requirements.
4. The processing fee is non-refundable and paid before the submission of documents.
5. You should express interest and submit for approval at least 4 working days before your trip starts.
6. When requesting for the East African immigration status to visit all three, it’s crucial to distribute the 90 days across the entire trip. Avoid the mistake of counting the 90 days per country.
7. The Uganda immigration status and East African status are strictly not for work.
8. The Uganda immigration status and East African immigration status can only be applied for when outside Uganda.

10. The approval letter doesn’t guarantee one’s entry into the country but rather one is subject to secondary verification at the port of entry.
